William and Shirley were married in the Caledonia Anglican church by Father Kersey on December 26 1981.
Shirley was an excellent wife in all aspects of married life, as blending two families can be difficult but she made everyone feel loved and welcomed. William and Shirley enjoyed traveling and spending time together. As their senior years approached they enjoyed living life at the Rvilla in Caledonia together. William took wonderful care of his Shirley Anne as Alzheimer's progressively took her from him. She was warm and caring, and always seemed to be filled with love and good cheer. Thank you to the staff at Rvilla in Caledonia, the Saint Elizabeth Health Care team and also the staff in the West Haldimand General Hospital on the Third floor. The care and compassion Shirley received from these facilities was truly wonderful. Family and friends are welcome to pay respects at MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL in Caledonia on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from 1-3pm with a funeral service to follow in the chapel. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
