ROUKEMA, Rylan Jerry Filippus
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our sweet boy Rylan. In the early morning of January 26, after a long 7 month battle with cancer, he went to be with our Lord and Saviour. He will be immensely missed by parents Zach and Steph, big brother Jayce; grandparents Cliff and Esther Roukema and Doug and Louise Dekker; favourite Auntie Michelle; great Oma Didy Roukema and great Grandma Margaret Kool; and countless other family and friends. We cannot thank the staff of McMaster Oncology and Qola care, along with the team at Stedman hospice, enough for their care and compassion. Visitation to be held on Monday, January 31, 2022 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, at Maranatha CRC of York, 33 King Avenue, York, ON. A Celebration of Life will take place on February 1, 2022 at 11am, at Maranatha CRC of York, 33 King Avenue, York, ON. The service will be live-streamed for those who are unable to attend in person. Please also consider wearing yellow or another bright colour. Private internment following the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating blood or registering as a bone marrow donor.
