It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ron Hewitt, age 80, of Caledonia, Ontario on Jan 25th 2023. Ron will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Yolande nee(Leclerc) of 45 years and children Ken (Sandra), Lisa (Jason), Robin (Rick) and Todd. Predeceased by his loving parents Murray and Patricia Hewitt and sister Barbara Martindale. Cherished grandfather to Gillian (Stu), Madison, Joshua (Mariah), Mia, Rya, Jacob, Emma, Kaitlyn, Shanel (Ryan), Paige (Errett), Kadyn and great grandfather to Scottie Rose and Kash. He loved his community, believing strongly in giving back and being of service. He spent a lifetime devoted to community service clubs and local sports organizations. He was a coach and a mentor to many and will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him. Forever a businessman, Ron worked in real estate for more than 55 years. He will be remembered and respected for his strong work ethic, devotion to his family and his love for sports, especially baseball. A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday January 31, 2023 at the Riverside Exhibition Centre, (151 Caithness St. E. Caledonia, Ontario N3W 1C2) at 11:00 am, with the service beginning at 12:00p.m. A celebration and luncheon will follow the service until 4p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements entrusted to the MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Caledonia.
