The family regretfully announces the passing of Patricia Nelles at the age of 85 on Dec. 9, 2021, at West Haldimand General Hospital, Hagersville. Predeceased by Rodger E. Mackereth (1977). She will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Joseph of 43 years of marriage, daughters, Sandra Caron (Angelo) and Cheryl Mackereth, sister, Diane Caudle (Everett, deceased), Murray Steels (deceased), and sister-in-law Joan Kelley (Barry, deceased). She will be also missed by nieces and nephews, grandchildren, Stacey, Jason (Jillian), Mandy, Josh, and Justin (Cayla); 7 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Pat served on the Haldimand County Council for 2 terms as well as Chair of the Board of Governors of Mohawk College. She was a cherished friend of Edna Hillier. Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be held in the spring of 2022. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations may be made to Grace United Church, 174 Caithness St. E., Caledonia, ON. N3W 1C2.
