“The Lord is my Shepherd I shall not want”
It is with great sadness that the family of Nico (Nick) DeGelder announce his sudden passing at the age of 77. Nick was the husband and best friend of Tineke DeGelder for 53 years. Dedicated and loving father of Henry, Gerard and Judy, Clinton and Rebecca. Nick was a very special Opa to Mackenzie, Madison and Kyler, Cole, Jake and Brittany, Emily and Ryan, Sarah and Ryan, Hannah and Isaiah, Luke, and Kyle. Nick is also survived by his two brothers and one sister, his many in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family who will all miss him dearly. Nick was also so excited to become a great Opa in March. Nick was born in the Netherlands in 1945, moved to Canada in 1968 and resided in Caledonia since 1970 where he made many friends through his church, his neighbourhood, and the Caledonia Legion. In Lieu of flowers the family asks that you just spend time loving your family as Nick did so dearly. A celebration of life will be held on Friday January 6 2023 at 11 am.
