DICOSIMO, Merlyn Dorothy
Merlyn Dorothy DiCosimo passed away peacefully on April 3 at the age of 95. Merlyn is survived by her sons Jack (Nancy) of Caledonia and Ken (Yanxia) of Vancouver. She was loving Nana to Andrea Maxim-Geroux (Scott) and Stephanie Maxim and adoring Great Grandma to Aria and Brooklyn. She will be missed by her longtime friend Patricia Schwitek, Manitoba. Merlyn was predeceased by four husbands. She spent much of her life in Winnipeg, Manitoba, moving to Vancouver and then Mayne Island in BC and then to Caledonia in Ontario. Merlyn loved music. She was an accomplished pianist and also loved singing in choirs in the Caledonia and Hamilton area. She appreciated art and enjoyed painting. She loved her rose garden and her cats. Special thanks to the people at Garland Terrace at St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke for their amazing and compassionate care for Merlyn. Cremation has taken place. In accordance with Merlyn’s wishes, a private family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Merlyn’s name to the S.P.C.A. would be appreciated. Rest in peace, Mom.
