ROTH, Mary Elaine (nee Steinman)
After a long and productive life, Mary has passed away in her 93rd year. She was
married for 40 years to Calvin Roth and lived for 30 years after his death in 1992.
Loving mother of Charles Roth and his wife Vickie Peart, Glenn Roth and his
partner Elvira Golden, Charlene Roth-Diddams and her husband Randy Diddams
(deceased), Joanne Roth and her husband Peter Horvatis, Kristine Roth and her
husband Peter Humphrey. Beloved grandmother of Mitchell Diddams, Robyn
Diddams, Emma Horvatis, William Horvatis, Calvin Humphrey, Isaac Humphrey
and Grace Humphrey. Doting great-grandmother to Alex, Blakely, Everett, Ezra
and Jaxson. She is survived by her brother Gerald Steinman; predeceased by her
brother Dale Steinman, her sister-in-law Carol Steinman and her son-in-law Randy
Diddams. For 60 years, Mary was very active as both a member and a leader of
the Rainham Mennonite Church. She was an avid quilter with the church sewing
circle. She was also an enthusiastic volunteer for Mennonite Central
Committee, J. L. Michener School in Cayuga and Senior Support. A caring friend to
many, she loved to laugh and her humour and faith sustained her to the very end.
The family would like to thank the staff at RVilla for their professionalism,
patience and kindness in her final years. A service will follow in August. Donations
