Obituary for Lorne Russell Parke

PARKE, Lorne Russell
Passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Juravinski Hospital in his 100 th year. He was predeceased by his daughter Joyce (Garbe), brother Stanley Parke, sister-in-law Elsie (Rumbles) and sister Charlotte Hoover. Survived by his wife Helen of 68 years, sons Jim (Valerie), Allan (Cindi), son-in-law Lee Garbe, brother-in-law Robert Hoover, grandchildren Michelle (Andrew) Garbe Harriman, Alicia (Anderson) Garbe Suarez, Cody (Deniz Ayman) Garbe, Emily Garbe, Fraser Parke, Fiona (Cory Hooper) Parke, Elliott (Emilia) Parke, Claire Parke and great grandsons Hudson, Nolan and Aiden Harriman, Marcus Suarez and Logan Parke. Lorne was a lifelong resident of Haldimand County, where he and Helen operated a Holstein
dairy farm at Caledonia. After retiring from the farm, they lived for many years in their home in Caledonia where they enjoyed time with family and friends, community activities and as long-time members of Grace United Church and Unity Church.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Juravinski Hospital Ward F5 and to the entire team at the Village of Wentworth Heights, Hamilton where Lorne and Helen resided for the past five years. A celebration of life will be held at Grace United Church, 174 Caithness St. E. Caledonia on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Grace United Church, Caledonia or Haldimand Norfolk Community Senior Support Services Inc.
