VOLLICK, Kenneth James

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kenneth James Vollick on February 6, 2023. He was born December 26, 1929 to Laura and James Vollick (Canfield, ON). He was predeceased by his loving wife Mildred Jane Vollick, nee Everets (1998), loving daughter Elizabeth Ann Vollick (1968), his parents, grandson Kevin Vollick and infant granddaughter Amy Fair, also siblings Grace (Bern) Hilts, Jack (Betty) Vollick, Ruth (John) Reeves, Ethel (John) Early and Faith (Larry) Hare. Loving husband of Helene Mann Vollick. Father to Laurel (Kent) Campbell, Douglas (Sharon) Vollick, Lloyd (Karen) Vollick and Robert (Lori) Vollick. Grandchildren Brenda (Jeff) Inkes, Amanda (Bill) Ibbott, Greg (Kristen) Vollick, Adam (Jess) Vollick, Jim Vollick, Scott (Katherine) Vollick, Aimee (Jeff) Goodfellow, Danny (Natalie) Vollick. Also, 17 great grandchildren and Helene’s 7 children, 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was a farmer, builder and apprenticed two sons in the trade, a risk inspector for Cayuga Mutual Insurance, a volunteer firefighter for many years, and belonged to St. John’s Lodge in Cayuga. He was a quiet, gentle man and will be missed by all. Resting at MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, 28 Caithness St. E., Caledonia, visitation will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2023 from 10 to 12 followed by a service in the chapel at 12. Interment at Canfield Cemetery. If so desired, a donation to Canfield United Church or the Dunnville Hospital Healthcare Foundation would be appreciated by the family. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Kamouna, and the nursing staff at Haldimand War Memorial Hospital and the PSWs and nursing staff that came to our home for all their compassionate, loving care given to Ken during his final journey.
