Joseph Michael Colbert 73, passed away at his home in Caledonia on March 18th with his daughters by his side. Preceded in death by his loving wife Jessie, he is survived by his daughters Kelly and Stacey, son-in-law Luke, sons Chris and Jamey, his three grandchildren Andrew, Clayton and Ayva, his mother Elizabeth, five brothers and six sisters, his mother in law, sister-in-law and many dear friends and family members here and in Newfoundland. Joe was the proud owner and operator of Colbert Heating and Cooling and was well known to many in the community. His customers were family to him, he always had a smile on his face and a dog treat in his pocket. Thank you to Peter Martin Heating and Cooling family and staff for their incredible support for Joe and his beloved customers and the staff at Swiss Chalet on Rymal Rd. in Hamilton. Joe looked forward to seeing them every Friday for supper. Special thanks to the emergency responders who tried so hard to save him and the wonderful OPP officers who stayed and supported us. Visitation will be held at Miller Funeral Chapel, 28 Caithness St. E., Monday, March 28 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 6 - 8 p.m. Service will be held Tuesday, March 29 at 1:00 p.m.
