HAMILTON, Jeffery Logan
September 16, 1966 ~ April 24, 2022
Jeff had a huge love of the outdoors. He loved camping, having campfires and just being outside, especially near the water. The outdoors was his place of solitude and peacefulness. Jeff was a big fan of the Boston Bruins and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was a collector of clothing and memorabilia of the 2 teams. Later in his life he also found a new love for horses. He worked at a horse farm for a couple years learning and caring for horses. That changed his life. Jeff grew a deep love and emotional bond with the horses he cared for, especially with his favourites. Jeff also spent much of his time the past couple years working at True Experience, a non-profit organization that helps people with mental health issues to live independent lifestyles in the community. He learned a lot from his time there and the struggles of mental health. He also made new friends and loved to help people.
Beloved son of Beverley Hamilton, brother and brother in-law of Krista and Dan Mclean, uncle of Justin, Carley and Sydney Gagne. Father of Vanessa Hamilton. Jeff will be sadly missed for his sense of humour and his strong willingness to keep fighting everyday! He was the toughest person we know!
Thank you to the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital and Dunnville War Memorial Hospital. Also to the nurses who came weekly to his home to care for him.
In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to be sent to True Experience in Dunnville and the family asks for you to donate blood whenever you can at your nearest clinic. Every 2 seconds in North America someone requires a blood transfusion. It is a critical part of everyday medical care including managing diseases and helping Canadians wake up each day healthy.
