Peirson Helen Mary( Malackanic)
Passed peacefully on Friday August 5, 2022 at Anson Place, Hagersville, Ontario in her 85th year.
Helen was the only daughter of John & Mary Malackanic (predeceased).
She was born in Hamilton, ON on December 25, 1937 and was a lifelong resident of Caledonia.
After graduating high school, Helen worked at her parent’s restaurant “Cookies Drive-In” where she later met and married her beloved husband Dave on September 8, 1956. They shared 54 golden years together before Dave’s passing.
Helen had a love of birds, cooking meals, gardening, and took great pride in her home. She enjoyed many fun get-togethers with both family and friends and her blue eyes and smile could light up a room.
She had a natural talent for floral design and worked at Shaver’s Flowers in Ancaster for 25 years before retiring. She also volunteered and participated yearly at the Caledonia fair.
Helen was a loving mother to Perry and Randy( Michelle) and cherished grandmother of Mackenzie,Travis, Scott & Samantha, and was fortunate to meet her first Great-Grandchild, Adriana. She was also loved by many brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews.
A private family service will take place at the Miller Funeral Chapel, Interment at Caledonia Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Riverside Exhibition Centre c/o ( Caledonia Agricultural Society 151 Caithness St. E, Caledonia, ON N3W 1C2) or to West Haldimand General Hospital and would be greatly appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the kind and caring PSW's, the staff of the WHGH, and to Anson Place for all their excellent care.
