Passed away unexpectedly while playing hockey on January 4, 2023 at the age of 74. Beloved husband and best friend of Janice (nee Hanes) for 43 wonderful years. Cherished father of Jessica (Keith) Smith, Erica (Mat) Kollee and Andy (Amanda). Devoted grandpa to Chloe and Clara. He is predeceased by his parents Lloyd and Leone . Brother to Doug (Lynda), Faye (Ken) Hanes and Ken (Marie). He will also be missed by many other family and friends. Earl was a dedicated hockey player, avid bike rider, jack of all trades and so much more. He worked for 35 years for Environment Canada as a Marine Technologist. Earl served as an inspiration and example to us all. Lived at 74 the same way he would have at 24. He never slowed down, never stopped living life to the fullest. He will be missed. Visitation will take place in the MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Caledonia, on Saturday January 21, 2023 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11a.m. in the chapel. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers consider donations to Case United Church (Building Fund), 6180 White Church Rd. E., Mount Hope, ON L0R 1W0 would be appreciated by the family.
