It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Abbott on May 2, 2022, at the age of 63. Doug is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years Cindy. Loving and proud father to his sons Kyle (Jen), Brandon (Katie), daughter Dawn (Jay). Doug will be sadly missed by his mother Heather Abbott, siblings Todd, Mark, Sheri, grandchildren Evan, Gavin, Lucas and Madelaine, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Doug was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors especially with his best friend Gunner. He will be remembered for his kindness and generosity towards others, never expecting anything in return, always seeing the good in everyone. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, May 13, 2022, 4-8 pm, Caledonia Lions Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Steven Young Foundation or the M.S. Society would be appreciated by the family.
