Dal Woong Passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the age of 85 with his devoted wife Kyung Soon by his side and surrounded by loved ones. Dal was born on March 6, 1937, to father Han Sung Choi and mother Bok Dal Choi. After graduating from Juang University, he left South Korea and travelled to the United States where he completed his masters degree at the University of Northern Illinois. There he met and married his wife Kyung Soon, they then moved to Canada where he taught at a number of secondary schools and became the Chairman of the Business Division at the School of Northern College. He went on to own several small businesses and travelled overseas to teach at the Beijing Institute of Technology. He returned to Canada where he enjoyed his retirement, playing golf as a member at Tyandaga, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Dal was preceded in death by his parents, survived by his wife Kyung Soon Choi; children Jennifer (Robert), Elaine (Kevin) Melanie (Jason); grandchildren Riley, Bryce, Brhett, Hannah, Bevan, Lexi, Braeden and Leo. He is also survived by several siblings, nieces and nephews. A private family service was held for Dal and he was interred in the Caledonia Cemetery. Donations can be made in his memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association. Arrangements entrusted to MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Caledonia.
