MAZZOCATO, Colleen Ann
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that the family of Colleen Ann Mazzocato (nee LaFortune), in her 78th year, announce her passing May 11, 2022 at St. Peter's Hospital, Hamilton, with her family surrounding her. Colleen leaves behind her beloved husband, Enrico, of 49 years. Dearest mother of Michael (Jennifer), Mark (Kristi) and Matthew (Gianna). Special Nonna to Lilia & Alaina, Nicholas & Nathan, Anna & Luca. Sadly missed by dear friend Heather. Predeceased by her parents Edmund and Agnes Lafortune. Colleen grew up in a loving home with her sister, Joan, in Preston, Ontario. Predeceased by Wesley Mason, 2022. Colleen will be remembered for her love of cooking, quilting and was a teacher for many years in Hagersville. Colleen was a devout member of St. Patrick's Church, Caledonia. Colleen and Enrico enjoyed travelling and shared this love by arranging for their children and grandchildren to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary in Italy with them. The Mazzocato family is grateful for the gentle and compassionate care given by the staff of Juravinski Cancer Centre and St. Peter's Hospital. Visitation will take place in the MILLER FUNERAL CHAPEL, Caledonia, on Friday, May 20, 2022 from 4p.m. - 7p.m. followed by a Funeral Mass to be Celebrated in St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, Caledonia, on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 11a.m. Interment of ashes in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please consider a donation to the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation in Colleen's name.
