CARLISLE, Barbara Joan
Barbara Joan Carlisle, 89, of Caledonia peacefully passed away September 14, 2021, with her family by her side. Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Carlisle, Barb will be greatly missed by her children, Joyce Hawken (Jim), Steven Carlisle (Bibi), Christine Mickeloff (Al) and predeceased by son Charles (Chuck) Carlisle (Fay). She cherished her grandchildren Jamie Hawken (Rand), Joanne Hawken, Jackie Kilgour (Kyle), John Carlisle (Jackie), Richard Carlisle, Andrew Carlisle, Alex Mickeloff (Emily), Ryan Mickeloff (Julia), and many Great Grandchildren. Barb was the last surviving member of her family's generation being predeceased by her parents, Charles and Aletha Church, and sisters, Marjorie (Bill), Audrey (Lou), and Joyce (Tom). Barb was an avid crafter, taking time to try her hand at knitting, crocheting, sewing, baking and cake decorating. As a mom and grandma she was pleased to share her passion for crafts while teaching cake decorating as well as the many gifts she made. Barb always had a dog in her life but she also loved flowers, birds, music, and enjoyed many years at the cottage with friends and family. Many card games were played over the years, so remember her fondly whenever you are playing a game of euchre. A graveside service will be held at White Chapel Memorial Gardens,1895 Main Street W., Hamilton on Saturday, September 25th at 1pm. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke, Canadian Diabetes Association, or a charity of your choice.
